Baby Finn at Lake Texhoma

4 Jul

We took baby Finn to Lake Texhoma to get some shots of him for his two month birthday. This boy loves the outdoors, he laid there so well. The lake felt so good, we wanted to just stay out there. Tamra took these pictures under natural evening light with a 17-50mm 2.8.  We are new to the area down here and we plan to go back and get more shots at some other places around Lake Texhoma. We will keep you posted.

Durant, Ok photography. Popping bottles for the 4th!

4 Jul

We took our kids out to the firework stand in Durant. The guys at the stand were kind enough to let us pop these to get this shot. We used a on camera canon 430ex II speedlight, LumiQuest pocket bouncer, CTO gel, and a ton of champaign bottle fireworks, lol. We hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July!

Durant, Ok newborn baby photography outdoor shoot

20 May

This is the first photo shoot that we did with our newborn baby Finley Jack Horner. It was an amazing day for shooting as it was a sunny, warm day with a nice breeze. Finn did so well, he was out the whole time. We are so blessed by this new addition to our family.

These shots on the tree were done were the shade was good with just enough sun light peering through. My hubby John stood to the side, out of the frame, to help me keep him safe and help with posing. Finley just laid there so content with the warm breeze blowing over him.

This was done in the hay barn with the sun shining right on the front bales. The back bales were in the shadows though, making them a few stops darker. So we had to get out a speedlite and the pocketwizards. John stood to the side and held the speedlite so that it would graze the back bales providing the needed light and to show texture of the hay.

This is the last shot of the day and it took a few minutes to get. Our friend Billie Jean Fischer of Billie Jean’s Photography made this sweet little hat for him. We did this shoot at my Mammaw’s ranch in Bokchito, Oklahoma which is about 15 minutes from Durant.

I have more shoots to post so check back soon.
